The months and years of youth bring back many memories related to Japanese comics and animated films for Vietnamese audiences. One of the titles that cannot be overlooked is Dragon Ball, a series that has made waves across comic strips, superhero books, and manga adaptations over time.
For those who have watched “Dragon Ball Z,” how could you possibly forget the iconic techniques used by the characters? To continue from the previous discussion, let’s explore the next 10 incredible techniques from the 20 techniques utilized in Dragon Ball!
11. Final Kamehameha
The Final Kamehameha is a technique that combines Goku’s Super Kamehameha and Vegeta’s Final Flash. This fusion increases the technique’s power significantly. It was first introduced in video games but later appeared in the manga series as well.
12. Big Bang Attack
The Big Bang Attack is a powerful technique created by the Saiyan prince, Vegeta. He performs it by extending his arm outward, creating a large energy sphere that he then releases with great force. This technique has been used numerous times in battles against Android 19, Android 18, BuuHan, Goku, and Golden Frieza.
Variations of the Big Bang Attack include Big Bang Crash and Super Big Bang Crash (used by Cell), as well as Big Bang Kamehameha – a combination of Big Bang Attack and Kamehameha (used by Vegito and Gogeta). Finally, there’s Big Bang Attack God when Vegeta is in Super Saiyan Blue form.
13. Final Explosion
The Final Explosion is a self-destruct technique created by Vegeta to annihilate Majin Buu. Vegeta channels all his life force to create an energy source, unleashing it with devastating power meant to eliminate Majin Buu once and for all.
14. Final Crash
Once again, Vegeta is the creator, using the technique Final Crash. We first see this technique when Vegeta uses it on the Namek planet. He concentrates energy into both of his hands and then thrusts them outward, creating a powerful energy wave.
The Final Crash has a total of 4 variations, which are: Final Flash, Final Burst Cannon (used against Frieza), Big Tree Cannon (used by Trunks), and finally Galactic Buster (used by Bojack).
Additionally, Super Saiyan 4 Goku also used a variation of the Final Explosion technique when battling Super Android 17, though on a smaller scale.
15. Final Flash
Final Flash is one of Vegeta’s three most powerful techniques, created during his training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. He holds his hands out, focuses Ki, and unleashes a significant energy blast toward the opponent.
16. Special Beam Cannon
The Special Beam Cannon is Piccolo’s signature technique. He performs it by extending his index and middle fingers to concentrate the necessary energy (Ki) and then fires two energy beams that penetrate the target. However, this technique has a significant weakness: it requires a long charging time, making it vulnerable to attacks while charging.
This technique was also used by Cell during his battles against Goku and Piccolo.
17. Chocolate Beam
The Chocolate Beam is used by all forms of Majin Buu (except Evil Buu), and it functions as a powerful energy beam that can turn targets into chocolate, regardless of their strength. However, once transformed, the target can retain their strength to counterattack. The Chocolate Beam can also be used as a way for Majin Buu to absorb opponents, such as when Super Buu turned people into chocolate and Chi-Chi into a treat to eat. This technique can also help Super Buu destroy inanimate objects simply by transforming them.
The Chocolate Beam has three variations:
- Candy Beam: This technique turns living beings and inanimate objects into candy.
- Cookie Beam: Majin Buu uses this variation on Dabura, turning him into a cookie.
- Milk Beam: Majin Buu turns an opponent into a milk carton.
18. Kaio-ken
Goku learned the Kaio-ken technique after his death in the battle against Raditz while training with King Kai. This technique allows Goku to multiply his power but consumes a lot of energy and puts immense strain on his body. Goku often used Kaio-ken in the early parts of Dragon Ball Z but used it less frequently after achieving Super Saiyan form.
The most recent use of Kaio-ken was in the battle between Goku and Hit in Dragon Ball Super, where Goku increased his power 10 times while in Super Saiyan Blue form.
19. Fusion Dance
The Fusion Dance is a technique that Goku learned from the Metamorans in another universe. This technique allows two individuals to merge into one, creating a more powerful entity for a limited time. The unique properties of the Fusion Dance have left a strong impression that cannot be forgotten in the Dragon Ball series.
20. Toki Tobashi
Toki Tobashi is a powerful technique used by Hit, the assassin from Universe 6 in Dragon Ball Super.
Toki Tobashi is used by Hit in Dragon Ball Super. This technique has the ability to stop time for a fraction of a second (1/10th of a second), allowing the user to move freely during that period. This creates a significant advantage in battles against opponents with super speed. During a battle with Goku’s Super Saiyan Blue form, Hit even enhanced the Toki Tobashi technique to 0.2 seconds and 0.5 seconds.
