Captain America: Brave New World
Captain America: Brave New World marks the first project in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) featuring Anthony Mackie in the new role of Captain America, succeeding Steve Rogers.

Following the events of the mini-series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021), Sam Wilson has officially taken on the mantle of Captain America. Meanwhile, Thunderbolt Ross (played by Harrison Ford) is vying for the position of President of the United States. Ross intends to leverage Captain America’s image to negotiate a partnership and seeks to formalize this title into a legitimate military position. This action has led to a confrontation between the two characters.
During a public speech, Ross unexpectedly confronts Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly). Isaiah previously served as a secret weapon to replace Captain America after Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) went missing. However, due to his race, he was consistently marginalized by the U.S. government. Despite this, Isaiah also faced the threat of being covertly transformed into a version of the Winter Soldier to carry out dark missions.
From this point, Sam begins to uncover the hidden secrets manipulating the power dynamics and global order. An intense and brutal conflict is expected to unfold in the film.
Captain America: Brave New World is scheduled to be released on February 14, 2025.
Thunderbolts*
Phase 5 of the MCU will conclude with Thunderbolts*, set to premiere on May 2, 2025. Thunderbolts* is a team of anti-heroes and villains, who have previously collaborated with other superheroes.

Additionally, Thunderbolts* will feature a mysterious character named Bob, played by Lewis Pullman, and many believe this character is essentially Sentry, Marvel’s version of Superman. In the comics, Sentry’s real name is Robert “Bob” Reynolds. This character is expected to appear in Thunderbolts* and will be portrayed by Steven Yeun.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is the opening installment for Phase 6 of the Marvel Universe. Currently, The Fantastic Four: First Steps is still in production and is set to release on July 25, 2025.

Marvel Studios has officially confirmed the production of the film dedicated to the superhero family, the Fantastic Four. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set in the 1960s and may take place in an alternate reality from the main MCU timeline. Additionally, characters such as Silver Surfer (played by Julia Garner) and Galactus (Ralph Ineson) will also be featured in this film. Moreover, it is reported that Doctor Doom, believed to be a central character in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, will officially be introduced in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Blade
Blade has had a challenging journey to the big screen. The film was initially set to release in 2023 but has been delayed multiple times, potentially until 2026. Currently, Blade is scheduled to premiere on November 7, 2025, unless there are further changes.

Blade first appeared in 1998, featuring a vampire hunter of the same name who protects humanity. Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali will portray the superhero Blade, also known as Eric Brooks.
Blade, whose real name is Eric Brooks, has a mixed heritage, being part vampire and part human, but possesses extraordinary abilities to fight supernatural threats. Blade has had a tumultuous history within Marvel, particularly facing financial difficulties.
Blade became a significant character for Marvel in the 1990s, during a time when the company faced financial struggles. Marvel sold the character’s rights to New Line Cinema and saw the character debut in the 1998 film. Subsequently, the company successfully reintroduced this superhero into the MCU to expand its supernatural universe.
Avengers: Doomsday
Seven years after the release of Avengers: Endgame, the next installment in the successful franchise is titled The Kang Dynasty. Marvel Studios has cast Jonathan Majors in the role of Kang; however, following recent controversies surrounding the actor, the studio is scrambling to find a resolution for this high-profile project.

Currently, Marvel is moving forward with the project now titled Avengers: Doomsday. The Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo, who previously directed Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, will also direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Avengers: Doomsday will focus on Doctor Doom, with Robert Downey Jr. reprising his iconic role as the character in this film.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on May 1, 2026.
Avengers: Secret Wars
Avengers: Secret Wars will be a monumental conclusion to Phase 6 of the MCU, presenting one of the most ambitious events in Marvel’s cinematic history. This film is expected to be larger in scope than Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, featuring a multitude of Marvel superheroes in epic battles.

Avengers: Secret Wars may feature numerous MCU heroes teaming up with characters such as Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, Wesley Snipes’ Blade, Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider, and Jennifer Garner’s Elektra.
If Avengers: Endgame was a fitting conclusion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Secret Wars could herald a new beginning for the MCU, with the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four existing together in the same universe.
Avengers: Secret Wars is set to premiere on May 7, 2027.
