Gojo Satoru’s Major Mistakes in Jujutsu Kaisen

In the world of Jujutsu, Tengen is an indispensable sorcerer, requiring a new vessel to avoid turning into a cursed spirit. The sorcerer himself is also bound by the Shifting of Six Eyes (Lục Nhãn).
However, Gojo Satoru was unable to fulfill the role of new vessel for Tengen before the imposing threat of Fushiguro Toji. The moment that ended the sorcerer’s journey resulted in the demise of the sorceress, Tinh Tưỡng Thể, preventing Tengen from acquiring a new vessel.
This became a significant advantage for Kenjaku, as he could control Tengen using the technique of manipulating cursed spirits, especially when occupying the vessel of Geto.
1. Neglecting to Protect Geto’s Vessel
For those who have watched Jujutsu Kaisen 0, it is clear that Geto lost to Yuta and was ultimately defeated due to a sudden attack from Rika. The direct connection between Geto and his best friend, Gojo, is significant. Gojo made a large mistake by not protecting Geto’s vessel sooner.
Kenjaku had already secured the vessel for Tengen, who could have potentially initiated various transformations. The loss of this vessel meant Tengen was left in a vulnerable state, unable to utilize all of his powers effectively.
Moreover, Kenjaku was able to exploit Geto’s abilities to acquire cursed techniques from other spirits like Mahito.
2. Erasing Key Cursed Techniques
In the past, Gojo faced off against both Miguel and Toji, two significant users of cursed techniques. He struggled because Toji’s cursed energy could effectively negate his techniques and even counterattack—an unavoidable threat that Miguel presented.
As a result, Gojo immediately sought to eliminate both cursed users. By doing so, he would not be disturbed in his future endeavors.
Unfortunately, deciding to erase Toji’s cursed energy had long-term repercussions when Gojo was sealed within the Prison Realm.
If Gojo had not erased these two cursed users, Yuji and his companions would not have had to struggle in their quest to find Hana Kurusu.
3. Failing to Act When Facing Chí Ký Chủ

Yuji and his friends faced Chí Ký Chủ while trying to save a survivor in the Eishu detention center. This spirit is a special cursed energy type, extremely powerful. The unfortunate part is that Gojo himself was absent during this critical moment, allowing Yuji and his group to struggle against Chí Ký Chủ.
Additionally, Yuji had only one way to survive—allowing Sukuna to take over his body by consuming a finger of his. This meant that when Sukuna took over Yuji, they were able to defeat Chí Ký Chủ successfully.
However, Sukuna is quite cunning and took advantage of Yuji’s vulnerability, forcing him to act as a pawn in this dangerous game.
4. Allowing Jogo to Escape During Their First Encounter
One of Gojo’s bad habits is frequently underestimating opponents during battles. At that time, he was attacked by Jogo, who used the power of his cursed energy to challenge Gojo, who had been careless in his approach.
In reality, Gojo could have easily defeated Jogo at that moment. However, he continued to act recklessly, which ultimately allowed Jogo to escape and become a significant threat later on.
Jogo’s escape would later lead to significant repercussions for Maki and Nanami, as they suffered due to the ensuing chaos of the Shibuya Incident.
5. Losing Awareness When Seeing Kenjaku in Geto’s Body
In the Jujutsu world, the Prison Realm is the strongest sealing technique because it can seal away its target indefinitely without any escape. Up to now, only Hana Kurusu’s cursed technique or certain cursed spirits can neutralize this sealing energy.
However, the conditions for executing the Prison Realm are not easily satisfied to capture Gojo Satoru. Consequently, Kenjaku used Geto’s face to distract Gojo while he was close to being sealed.
Gojo was understandably shocked to see his friend’s face, and he became vulnerable, leading to his eventual sealing. This mistake allowed Kenjaku to effectively execute his plan without further complications.
