The box office results for the film industry in 2016 have been surprisingly disappointing compared to previous years. While there are still a few notable exceptions, Hollywood seems to have lost a significant amount of revenue in this year’s ‘big bets’, especially during the summer movie season, as audiences have expressed extreme fatigue with a slew of sequels that nobody wanted.
Among the films that have underperformed at the box office this year, there are several that stand out. From “Zoolander 2” to “Ben-Hur,” below is a list of the 10 films with the lowest box office revenue in the United States for the current period:
