Unlike Superman, Batman is a superhero with a much more complex inner life, often characterized by darkness and trauma. This complexity makes it quite challenging for him to find a suitable romantic partner, as he tends to prioritize battling crime and worrying about his brother Superman over matters of the heart.
In comic books, Batman’s character is often explored more deeply, while in the film adaptations, he has been portrayed in various ways. Our Batman has been adapted from a layered figure to a colder superhero who shows no mercy towards criminals, often blending into a suave, charming persona. Additionally, in the external relationships he has, our Batman has had some romantic encounters with various female characters in films.
To better understand how many times Batman has kissed on screen, YouTuber Maurice Mitchell had to meticulously compile all the kissing scenes of Batman and his various female counterparts (though, admittedly, some of them are male characters) from the different film adaptations of the Dark Knight.
Interestingly, in this video compilation, even Batman’s affection for his butler Alfred in “Batman & Robin” is counted. It’s worth noting that while some of these scenes might not carry significant meaning, they certainly add a layer of humor to the character. It’s all in good fun, after all.
