Last week, DC fans were stirred up when actor Ben Affleck shared a short clip featuring the character Deathstroke, who is set to be Batman’s nemesis in a standalone film titled “The Batman,” in which he will also take on the main role as the director. However, the clip only revealed images of Deathstroke without disclosing who will play this character.
If you are not familiar with him, Deathstroke is a character in the DC superhero universe. His real name is Slade Joseph Wilson. He has often played the role of an antagonist but can also be seen as an anti-hero. Initially, Slade Wilson was a mercenary, but after undergoing a government experiment, he became a super-soldier with enhanced strength and the ability to use up to 90% of his brain (according to the theory that most humans only use 10% of their brain). This enhancement made him a formidable adversary for Batman.
Currently, the role of Deathstroke, Batman’s primary adversary, has been confirmed to be assigned to Joe Manganiello. Fans hope he will effectively portray the character’s dangerous and cunning nature.
