Simultaneously, Deputy Chief Inspector Ly Van Ban (played by Tony Leung Ka-fai) faces challenges as his son, Ly Van Anh (played by Daniel Wu), the only witness to the case, has been arrested. The disappearance of the police vehicle equipped with state-of-the-art technology remains a mystery.
Alongside this, Kit Huy must confront a powerful syndicate led by Osward Kan (played by Nick Cheung) that poses a significant threat to him due to its corrupt influence. During this time, those at the top of the police force are embroiled in a struggle for power, attempting to maneuver Osward into a position that would undermine Kit Huy.
