John Proudstar, better known by his alias Thunderbird, was personally chosen by Charles Xavier to become a member of the second generation of the X-Men. However, this character met his demise shortly after undertaking a mission for his team. In “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” audiences were introduced to Warpath, Thunderbird’s son, leading many to speculate that he might also appear in the upcoming X-Men film.
Thunderbird was born into the Apache tribe and was chosen to be a soldier, showcasing his impressive combat abilities. His strength and durability rank him among the top-tier mutants in the Marvel Universe.
9. Sabretooth
Sabretooth is a character that has been used quite extensively in the X-Men film series, first appearing in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” His portrayal has left many fans feeling disappointed, particularly when compared to his more ferocious depiction in the comics.
Nonetheless, fans remain hopeful for a return of this character in the X-Men franchise, especially if Fox considers bringing Sabretooth back in “Wolverine: Weapon X,” which would certainly be a worthy choice.
8. Armor
Armor is one of the characters created by Joss Whedon in “Astonishing X-Men,” and she certainly deserves a role in the upcoming X-Men films. Her real name is Hisako Ichiki, and she is a student in Professor X’s class.
This young woman has the unique ability to create a protective energy shield, which grants her increased strength and durability during battles. Her character, combined with her distinct abilities, could provide some truly epic moments on screen.
7. Vulcan
In “Deadly Genesis,” Professor X gathered a group of X-Men, but this team ultimately failed, leading to the death of many members during their first mission. One of the notable characters was Gabriel Summers, the brother of Scott and Alex, who was abducted and raised by a hostile alien faction before being recruited by Professor X.
In this storyline, Cyclops expelled Charles from the X-Men and became the leader of the group, while Vulcan was trying to find a way to combat the extraterrestrial threats that were targeting Earth.
6. Scarlet Witch
While it’s difficult to foresee, fans still hold out hope that Scarlet Witch will make an appearance in the X-Men universe, despite her having transitioned into a character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe following “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
The power of this character promises an incredible battle ahead. Additionally, the complex relationship between her and Magneto is something that fans are eagerly anticipating.
