A dental surgeon in Japan believes he has discovered the reason why Frieza (often referred to as Freeza by many fans) was able to lose to Son Goku in the Dragon Ball manga and anime series. The reason he presents is due to Frieza’s improper sitting posture.
The surgeon referenced here is Yuji Ogawa, who explained in an interview that Frieza’s incorrect sitting posture is the main cause that led this character to endure physical damage, particularly to his spine and nervous system.
This surgeon elaborated with the interviewer by utilizing a figure illustrating Frieza, but to help readers understand better, we will reference the most illustrative images from the manga and anime.
Firstly, this surgeon suggests that Frieza has a very improper sitting posture when moving in his personal spaceship. Sitting for long periods in such a position can cause Frieza’s body to undergo significant changes.
You can clearly see this in the screenshot from the anime below, which shows that Frieza often had to sit in a very unnatural position to be able to reach the controls, and the consequence of this prolonged sitting caused Frieza’s spine to bend, as illustrated in the image below.
The bending of Frieza’s spine negatively affected his nervous system, which may have contributed to a range of other issues that further degraded his internal organs and ultimately led to Frieza becoming weaker compared to his usual state.
It is highly likely that this is the main reason why our Frieza had to concede defeat to Son Goku during their epic battles.
