Golden Form of Frieza in Dragon Ball Super
Golden Frieza is the ultimate transformation of Frieza. This transformation is achieved by Frieza through rigorous training methods, fueled by his desire to take revenge on Goku. Frieza is a natural-born genius when it comes to strength, having never really trained before facing Goku.

Unlike other forms that may be used continuously and for a prolonged period, this form is a temporary transformation used to boost power levels significantly.
In his Golden form, Frieza gains a few extra inches in height, compared to his normal height of about 153 cm (5’0″). The color of Frieza’s exterior changes to a golden hue, and his muscle mass increases compared to his original form.
When releasing his energy in this form, the user creates a massive aura resembling a flame, which is similar to the aura of Super Saiyan Blue.
Golden Frieza Initially Overpowers Super Saiyan Blue Goku in Dragon Ball Super
Golden Frieza is incredibly powerful, initially surpassing Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue forms, to the extent that Goku and Vegeta become very concerned during their fights against him.

The V-Jump article in January 2017 regarding the major characters appearing in Dragon Ball Super noted that Golden Frieza’s strength surpassed that of Super Saiyan Blue, ranking Golden Frieza at an impressive level in the series.
When Golden Frieza reaches peak power in this state, Super Saiyan Blue Goku seems unable to unleash any of his attacks. Only when Golden Frieza’s strength decreases significantly can Goku begin to fight back.
The Golden form has a severe drawback; it can greatly weaken if the user does not train in it for an extended period after its initial activation. Due to this flaw, Frieza cannot compete with Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta, as the energy of the user will deplete quickly if they do not consistently train while using this state.
Golden Frieza Receives Divine Recognition from Beerus
In the Dragon Ball Super manga, Frieza utilized his Golden Frieza form during the Tournament of Power to challenge Super Saiyan Caulifla, Kale, and Super Saiyan Cabba. At the end of the tournament, Frieza transformed back into Golden Frieza once more after Vegeta was defeated by Jiren, preparing to face the formidable threat.
He had previously faced defeat for a brief time before needing the assistance of Android 17. This situation made Beerus wary for a short while, realizing that Frieza could turn the tide, despite having seen Jiren easily defeat Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta.

By the time of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, the issues regarding his stamina seemed to have entirely vanished, as Frieza could fight in his Golden form for over an hour, even under extreme conditions.
Golden Frieza became sufficiently strong to challenge Super Saiyan Broly while maintaining his form and continuing to fight for an hour. However, the strikes of Golden Frieza could potentially overwhelm Broly, forcing the Super Saiyan warrior to evade.
Nevertheless, even in his Golden form, Frieza still appears reluctant to confront Beerus, fearing that if the God of Destruction intervened in his plans, he might not be able to escape unharmed. This form has even drawn the attention of Beerus and Whis, who openly acknowledged Frieza’s significant power development.
