Film adaptations of movies based on video games have always been a source of disappointment for audiences up to now in Hollywood. The reality is that there hasn’t been a single film that has successfully captured the essence of its source material. Despite the blockbuster film “Warcraft,” based on the game by Blizzard, it did not achieve high scores with critics, and at best, it only garnered a lukewarm response for this type of film adaptation. This raises the question of whether Blizzard is currently on the right track in creating a film based on video games.
Now with a bit of Hollywood experience in hand, what if Blizzard continues to pursue its cinematic endeavors with another blockbuster film based on the highly popular game “Overwatch”?
