Many “Banned” Fanpages Are Still Operating
As we know, recently the government issued Decree 147, which will take effect from December 25, 2024. Social media users in Vietnam will need to verify their accounts through mobile phone numbers to continue posting, commenting, or livestreaming. As a result, many fake accounts and fanpages that were previously advertising or spamming have officially “disappeared.” The amount of “junk” content has also decreased significantly, making social media users feel more secure and much happier.
However, it hasn’t been long since the “banned” fanpages have started to re-emerge. In fact, these fanpages are still actively livestreaming advertisements for illegal and harmful content, providing various shocking images… leaving viewers feeling confused.

Many “Banned” Fanpages Using Subtle Tricks to Survive
It is unclear how these fanpages can still operate in the current environment, but there are several common characteristics they share. Firstly, these “banned” fanpages often have very long and elaborate names, frequently choosing foreign names to avoid detection.

Secondly, they often register their accounts in other countries. Thirdly, almost all of them do not publish any content, instead focusing on livestreaming and running ads to attract more social media users. Recently, the frequency of these “banned” fanpages has been increasing, raising concerns about the negative impacts they may have on viewers’ perceptions.
As conscientious social media users, we need to be vigilant and avoid these “banned” fanpages. Staying alert is crucial, especially on social media platforms where issues can escalate rapidly and cause significant harm to the community.
