Uzumaki Naruto: The Symbol of Resilience and Inspiration
Uzumaki Naruto is undoubtedly the most iconic character in the Naruto series, beloved by fans worldwide. Over the years, Naruto has become a symbol of hope and inspiration for many across the globe.
Unfortunately, in the sequel series Boruto, this character does not always receive the respect he deserves.
This situation arises from various factors, and sadly, he has often been overshadowed by others. Simultaneously, his strength has also significantly diminished over time, impacting his ability to compete effectively.

The Diminishing Strength of Uzumaki Naruto in Boruto
When the Boruto series began with Boruto: Naruto the Movie, fans were clearly aware of the challenges facing the Seventh Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto. The Otsutsuki clan posed a significant threat, and he, alongside Sasuke, was left to confront them as they were the only ones capable of standing against this enemy.
Throughout the intense battles, viewers could observe that both Naruto and Sasuke were not utilizing their full powers, which could be attributed to various reasons. It was evident that both characters had significantly weakened during this conflict, as Naruto had previously demonstrated incredible strength against Momoshiki.
The most significant decline occurred during the battle against Jigen. Both Naruto and Sasuke were entirely overwhelmed, unable to land a single blow, despite their efforts. Clearly, Naruto and Sasuke had lost a considerable amount of their previous strength and abilities.
All of Naruto’s Powers Severely Weakened in Boruto
Naruto has encountered numerous reductions in his powers throughout the Boruto series. It is well known that Naruto had access to both the Yin and Yang halves of the Sage of the Six Paths, Kurama, after the Fourth Great Ninja War. This was expected to be a significant power boost for Naruto, but in Boruto, it seems to not be as beneficial.
Moreover, the abilities of the Sage of Six Paths have diminished to the point where Naruto’s potential is limited compared to what it once was. Naruto seems incapable of generating the complex formations he used to create. These formations were critical to harnessing the energy of the Sage of Six Paths, one of the powers that Naruto once wielded when he received the Sage of Six Paths’ abilities.
Furthermore, the healing powers of Naruto have also been impacted, as seen when he was incapacitated by Sasuke’s sword during a battle with Shin. Naruto’s inability to recover from such injuries reflects a significant loss.
Additionally, Naruto’s sensory capabilities seem to have deteriorated within the Boruto storyline. Despite him being in a heightened state of alertness, it was evident that he could not perceive everything around him. This became particularly clear when Naruto faced Jigen, who used Sukunahikona (a technique that alters the size of an object), and Naruto was unable to sense it. He was the first to experience this kind of spatial alteration.
While Naruto could perceive Madara’s Limbo existing in a completely different dimension, in Boruto, he struggles to feel anything that occurs in a dimension with smaller sizes. It is clear that the author has intentionally diminished Naruto’s powers and, in many ways, has reduced the legacy of the Seventh Hokage.
