The short story titled Steel was written by Richard Matheson in 1957 and published in the magazine Science Fiction Stories. The film adaptation, Real Steel, was released in 2011 and has become a global phenomenon that audiences have embraced. Directed by Shawn Levy and based on a screenplay by John Gatins, the lead role was played by the “beloved” Hugh Jackman, who received considerable praise from critics.

“We actually started developing the sequel about six months prior to the film’s release. We understand that audiences feel excited and have had positive feedback towards this film, so we began brainstorming new ideas for the next installment. However, we must acknowledge that it is quite challenging to come up with new concepts for this sequel without overlapping with the first one.”
According to what director Levy has stated regarding Real Steel 2, the film will begin shooting soon with new concepts that will make it distinct.
“One thing I really want to explore, as well as bring to the screen, is how the character Atom is constructed and the intricate details of this robot’s design that might enable it to exhibit consciousness and intelligence similar to humans. It’s possible that Atom could be expanded with additional unique components. Although it’s still too early to confirm, I can assure you that the sequel will be developed in the near future with the original cast, including Hugh Jackman, who has yet to say anything.”
