The Game “Wild Rift” by Riot Falls Short of League of Legends
At its launch, the mobile game League of Legends: Wild Rift received a lot of mixed feedback. First and foremost, the game is a mobile version of League of Legends. The appeal of Wild Rift lies in its development on the mobile platform, which is currently highly favored. Additionally, the game also enjoys greater attention from Riot, as they continuously release exclusive skins and updates, albeit slightly less frequently compared to League of Legends.

However, up to now, Wild Rift seems to have completely failed. Furthermore, according to some gamers, aside from the attractive skins, there is little difference in gameplay between Wild Rift and League of Legends. Some players have reported that the game even has to pair bots in ranked matches due to a lack of available players.

Wild Rift Addresses League of Legends’ Weaknesses But Faces Other Issues
According to gamers, the initial issues primarily stem from League of Legends entering a phase of decline. Players have more choices to switch to the main League of Legends rather than its mobile version. Moreover, compared to the PC version, Wild Rift still has significant shortcomings as the battles unfold rather quickly and are quite simplistic.
Another issue is the rampant map hacking in this game, which Riot has yet to resolve effectively. For major competitive games, hacking is considered a severe offense. However, one viewer remarked, “If Riot bans all hacked accounts, there might be a 30-40% drop in players.”

Meanwhile, League of Legends effectively addresses these issues. The unique gameplay experience in Wild Rift is lacking due to the rampant hacking that far exceeds that of the mobile game compared to its “predecessor” on the PC version, not to mention the long-standing player base that League of Legends has built over the years.
And if in the future, if Riot does not find a solution, the game could remain a “failed experiment” for this publisher.
