FromSoftware has created a stronghold with the release of the Dark Souls series, and most recently, Elden Ring – titles in the Soulslike genre that have caused quite a stir among gamers.
As time goes by, the Soulslike game titles are becoming more prominent than ever. Even in the case of Black Myth: Wukong, while it may not strictly fall into this genre, the combat style against bosses clearly embodies the essence of Soulslike games. And now, another fresh bombshell has emerged that has gamers buzzing.

The game is titled Dinoblade – an action role-playing game focusing on battles, but not between humans and humans, or humans and monsters.
Instead, this is a battle between armored dinosaurs. Although it hasn’t officially launched yet, it has quickly gained a substantial number of wishlists on Steam. Interestingly, many gamers after witnessing its promotional trailers have referred to it as “Dark Souls with Dinosaurs.”

Developed by a solo developer named Jean Nguyen, Dinoblade started as a simple animation experiment. However, after a short video showcasing it went viral, viewers began urging Nguyen to turn it into a playable experience. Since then, this developer has been consistently updating progress on X (formerly known as Twitter) and TikTok to keep everyone informed of their advancements with the game, which has begun to attract considerable attention from the community. The subsequent clips also show significant development of the dinosaurs, environments, and action mechanics.

The gameplay mechanics in Dinoblade are quite similar to Lies of P or Sekiro. Currently, Dinoblade does not have a specific release date, but the project has been added to Steam, indicating that it is indeed progressing in the right direction.
