Throughout the final chapter, no character receives any conclusion, leaving fans of Jujutsu Kaisen feeling that the ending is unsatisfactory and lacking depth. Many are only able to criticize the author for not concluding several story arcs.
The bulk of Chapter 271 takes place three years after the events of the last volume. It features a reflective moment of Yuji about Gojo, where he recalls the teacher’s impactful words. The latter part of the chapter showcases the interaction between Sukuna and Mahito in a tense atmosphere. Although the dialogue showcases the depth of Sukuna’s character, it still leaves many unanswered questions.

The story concludes in Chapter 271 with a rather ambiguous note, as we see a significant frame of Sukuna’s hand covered in darkness at the end of the chapter.
