However, One Piece Chapter 1125 brings even more shocking developments.
Titled “The Meaning of Death,” this chapter will focus on the final moments of Saturn as he is confronted by the members of the G-5 Navy. Saturn feels the pressure of the situation as he realizes he has achieved most of his objectives, except for the captured Vegapunk.
Yet, Saturn’s decisions and his role in the Egghead arc have greatly impacted the ongoing events. Imu and the other members of the G-5 Navy have discovered a new member to replace him as Saint Figarland Garling enters the Authority Room to assume the role of the Warrior God of Science and Defense, effectively sidelining Saturn.
After this, the language used by Saturn begins to deteriorate rapidly, leading to his swift aging. Ultimately, Saturn’s capabilities are diminished, leaving him with little but his fading presence. He has pleaded for Imu’s mercy but received nothing but the impending doom of death. Now, the new member has emerged, and Imu and the World Government no longer require Saturn.
This presents a shocking and dark twist, especially as One Piece rarely ends the lives of its characters, often only hinting at the possibility of death in a more toned-down manner. However, the demise of a member of the G-5 Navy suggests that many future events will become darker than what we have grown accustomed to in the manga.
