It’s hard to believe, but Dragon Ball Heroes has been around for over a decade. Back in 2012, the world was introduced to Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission, and its creator, Toyotaro, probably never imagined that the story would still be ongoing today.
Now, Toyotaro is revisiting Dragon Ball Heroes after many years of absence, and the final chapter has finally been released, marking a long-awaited conclusion to the series.
In Japan, a new guidebook for Dragon Ball Heroes has recently been published. At this point, fans were excited to see Toyotaro revisiting the manga. Toyotaro has returned to release the final chapter of Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission, chapter 30, after 12 years of waiting.

Before that, the manga was temporarily suspended in November 2015. And in July of this year, the production team announced that Dragon Ball Heroes would return with its final segment in August.
Now, Toyotaro has successfully completed Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission. Launched in 2012, the manga was well-received and appreciated when it first came out, particularly because it was closely linked to the Dragon Ball Heroes arcade game that debuted in 2010, featuring a storyline centered around a character named Beat who gets involved in the game.
The story picks up a long time after the events of Dragon Ball, with Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, Satan, Pan, Trunks… having all aged. The later generations have been celebrated as heroic characters of the Earth. In fact, some have even developed technology that allows an ordinary person to become a legendary character. We follow Beat and his beloved heroes as they face various monstrous threats.

The final chapter of Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission shows Beat and Note both becoming prominent figures and laying the groundwork for a new generation of “hero players” in the manga’s conclusion. The emergence of this new generation even caused Vegeta to shed tears.
Sadly, Dragon Ball Heroes has never received the recognition it deserves outside of Japan, but the fandom has followed its story from the very beginning. Now, after more than a decade, we have finally reached a conclusion for Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission. The ending aligns perfectly with the anticipation because Toyotaro had the opportunity to revisit the story, allowing him to pay homage to Toriyama’s original work. And hopefully, the manga will soon return with Dragon Ball Super!
