According to data from Flix Patrol, Jackpot! (English title: Jackpot!) is currently the most-watched film worldwide, topping charts in 74 countries. Despite mixed reviews, audiences continue to enjoy the comedic chemistry between John Cena and Awkwafina.

Jackpot! takes place in the year 2030 when the California state government launches a lottery game with a shocking grand prize. Every “drawing day,” a random person gets chosen to receive a cash prize worth millions of dollars. However, this “luck” also turns them into a target for those who lose. Whoever claims the winning lottery ticket before the drawing will be entitled to that massive amount. However, no one is allowed to use firearms.
The main character in the film is aspiring actress Katie Kim (Awkwafina). She moves to Los Angeles, California, hoping to pursue an acting career. The plot thickens when Katie wins the staggering prize of $3.6 million, which also makes her a target in the city. She runs into Noel Cassidy (John Cena) – a professional bodyguard. His job is to protect lottery winners until the drawing event concludes, earning a 10% cut of the winnings. From there, both embark on a comedic adventure that is full of surprises.

Jackpot! is directed by Paul Feig, a filmmaker known for his expertise in the comedy genre with works such as The Heat (2013), Spy (2015), and Ghostbusters (2016). The comedic duo of John Cena and Awkwafina has successfully entertained audiences even though the plot may not be overly complex and contains many predictable elements.
Critics on Rotten Tomatoes rated Jackpot! at only 32%. However, viewers seem to find the film enjoyable enough to watch multiple times.

“Categorized as a comedy-action film, this movie is quite entertaining throughout its runtime. There are very few dull moments. The humor may not be highbrow, but if you enjoy John Cena’s comedic style, you’ll find it delightful,” said a reviewer on IMDb.
The performances of the cast are commendable, and everyone seems to fulfill their roles well, particularly in the comedic aspects. I appreciate Awkwafina’s humor. The storyline lacks anything particularly unique or noteworthy compared to other similar films. The additional events are quite absurd, but that’s part of the charm of the film; not everything has to be meaningful. This is a movie to enjoy without overthinking.
I am sure I will rewatch this film because it brings a lot of joy. Overall, it is a decent recommendation for friends. This isn’t a groundbreaking film by any means, but it certainly serves its purpose of entertainment, and as long as you’re not overly serious, you’ll find quite a bit of fun,” a commenter stated on IMDb.
