No one paid much attention to him for a long time, viewing him merely as a plot device. However, when Jujutsu Kaisen reached chapter 264, revealing Yuji’s true potential, we must look back and see if this was cleverly foreshadowed from the beginning.
In chapter 264, the battle between Sukuna and the sorcerers reaches new heights. The heroes have tried everything, yet nothing seems capable of challenging the King of Curses. Just when all hope seems lost, the main character turns out to be the dark horse in this story.
By the end of the chapter, Yuji unleashes and manifests his domain expansion, confronting both Sukuna and his own inner self. His domain resembles a train station (specifically, Shibuya Station) with only two individuals present inside. This chapter concludes with Yuji urging Sukuna to join him, possibly leading to a train journey.
This revelation makes fans excited about Yuji during the initial moments of the anime. It’s possible that Gege Akutami had already envisioned Yuji’s domain expansion long ago. Alternatively, the author might have drawn inspiration from the anime to incorporate this detail into the manga.
According to the details, this marks the first time Yuji has manifested a domain expansion – the most powerful technique in the series, considered the pinnacle of Jujutsu sorcery, and only a select few characters can utilize it. However, this chapter does not reveal any further details about Yuji’s domain expansion, aside from its unique appearance.
