As we approach the end of 2024, the League of Legends community is buzzing with excitement over the release of skins honoring the 2023 World Championship victory of T1. Zeus, being a member of the team and the FMVP, will have two skins for Jayce. However, recently, some fans of Zeus have criticized the commentator from VCS, Van Tung, for referring to the skin as “T1 Jayce” instead of “Zeus Jayce,” which they believe is the more appropriate term.
It appears that the situation has dragged on, and with the commentator facing backlash, Van Tung expressed his frustration during a recent stream: “People say you shouldn’t argue with those who aren’t on your level. It feels like pulling someone down to your level when you win through experience.”
Additionally, the commentator has also used a different example to make his point, which consequently received some negative feedback. His comments quickly attracted significant attention from the League of Legends community in Vietnam.

The skins honoring the teams that win the World Championship are traditionally named in the format “Team Name + Champion Name.” For instance, in the past, we had SKT T1 Ryze (for Faker’s skin) and currently, we have T1 Jayce (for Zeus’s skin).
Therefore, the ongoing conflict between fans of T1 and those of Zeus regarding the commentator’s remarks has only deepened the divide. The tensions among T1 fans following this recent drama have yet to subside, highlighting the complexities of fandom within the gaming community.
