ONE is the pen name of a renowned Japanese manga artist, famous for the series One Punch Man. Recently, the creator has raised concerns among fans after sharing that he had to go to the hospital due to asthma.
In a post on X/Twitter, ONE explained: “Recently, I had to go to the hospital because of my asthma, but the situation is not serious. I have been experiencing inflammation in my lungs for several days now, and whenever I cough or sneeze, I feel sharp pain in my chest. Currently, there are too many illnesses spreading that are not adequately treated, so please be careful.”
Although ONE’s health condition is not critical, it could potentially impact the progress of One Punch Man.
ONE’s asthma condition may affect One Punch Man

Long-time fans of One Punch Man are aware that the manga has recently resumed after a long hiatus. Even the third season of the anime has not yet been officially confirmed for release. Currently, the anime is scheduled to be released in 2025, but detailed information is still scarce.
With ONE’s fragile health situation, fans are worried that this beloved creator may continue to experience interruptions. Nevertheless, he still has multiple projects in progress. One Punch Man, Bug Ego, and Versus are all in various stages of development.
Fortunately, at this moment, there is no indication that ONE’s health issues will affect the release of his anime or manga.
One Punch Man is still a relatively young webcomic created by ONE since 2009.
However, after its debut, this manga quickly gained popularity and became a phenomenon on social media. In 2012, One Punch Man attracted 7.9 million views. Shortly thereafter, ONE received an offer to adapt the series into a formal manga, which was illustrated by the famous mangaka Yusuke Murata.
