Dabura and Babidi vs. Androids in the Future
If Dabura and Babidi were to appear in the future at the same time they did in the past, it would mean that the Androids 17 and 18 would be necessary to confront them. Since the Majin Buu saga takes place after the defeat of Cell, Dabura and Babidi would face a completely broken timeline in the future, and the two Androids would certainly fall prey to Dabura’s attacks.
Some insiders speculate that Babidi did not appear on Earth for years in the future because Goku and all the Z fighters had died before the Androids. Therefore, it is unlikely that they could sense energy on the planet necessary to revive Buu. However, this does not imply that the Androids are stronger and still possess unlimited energy.
Possible Reasons
Other insiders believe that the events of Future Trunks’ time travel have completely altered all events on Earth. Although it is difficult to pinpoint exactly how things changed on Earth at that particular point, it has certainly changed the decisions that led Earth to be more vulnerable than it was during Babidi’s time. However, it can be argued that Babidi only directed his ship towards Earth because in the past, Gohan had reached Super Saiyan 2 status in a moment of energy, which might have made Babidi sense it while he was in outer space.
If this is true, it would mean that Future Trunks would have to bear some responsibility for the resurrection of Majin Buu in the past.
