In the latest video from Lat Mat 7, Ly Hai reveals the journey of selecting Mui Tan as the filming location for the movie “Tu Hau.” Ly Hai shares: “My team and I traveled to many beautiful beaches in Central Vietnam and finally settled on Mui Tan. However, on the early morning when the sun had not yet risen, everyone gathered to prepare very eagerly. The atmosphere was very joyful and enthusiastic.“
The crew also disclosed that this is one of the most challenging scenes to film due to the need for significant investment. To create stunning visuals, Ly Hai mobilized 100 boats, ready to “battle” the elements for the shoot. In the video, there is a scene showing the village being ravaged after the storm. The destruction of Mui Tan was depicted with great emotion, supported by the warmth of the local people.
Not stopping there, the Lat Mat 7 team also ventured into one of the most arduous parts of the film, referred to as the “storm scene.” The challenge arose when Tu Hau (played by Quach Ngoc Tuyen) and the crew battled with the waves outside. The team spent one long night right up until dawn, transitioning into the new year 2024 to capture the footage. Furthermore, the video showcases the scene of Tu Hau’s boat bravely navigating amid the tumultuous storm, which was filmed on a green screen. The details of the water pouring onto the boat were created using a special spray technique by the crew.
Alongside the external scenes, the Ly Hai team also steered a boat out to sea to capture the most authentic film footage for the audience. “It seemed very simple, but it was quite challenging as the crew was not used to being on a boat, resulting in a lot of mishaps during the shoot,” Ly Hai noted.
In addition to the beach scenes, the Lat Mat 7 team also recreated the fishing scene in Lang Than Nam Hai. Ly Hai researched the location and, along with the crew, worked diligently to ensure every detail was accurately represented. For the performance aspect, Ly Hai arranged for a singing group from Quy Nhon to perform during the shoot, hoping to beautifully integrate the local culture into the film.
Moreover, to create a lively atmosphere, the team invited the local residents to watch, ensuring that anyone at the dock could join in and enjoy the experience.

Contributing to the success of the “Tu Hau” scenes, Ly Hai extended heartfelt thanks to the people of Mui Tan. Thousands of locals have supported the crew through various difficulties while also providing warmth and hospitality, making the shooting experience meaningful and rich.
Lat Mat 7: A Wish Fulfilled is classified as a K-rated film (suitable for viewers aged 13 and older, with parental guidance recommended). The project, which involves Ly Hai in the roles of director, producer, and actor, is set to premiere on April 26th.
