Mythical Beasts in the World of “One Piece”

The character JayGarcia Saturn, a member of the Scientific Warfare and Defense Agency, is the first figure to appear on Egghead Island. He takes on the form of Gyuki, a terrifying creature from Japanese folklore, often depicted as a combination of a bull and a snake. This creature is not often welcomed in legends, as it usually exhibits destructive behaviors and uses acid to decompose anything in its path.
Additionally, Gyuki is closely linked to the strange tales surrounding certain regions, creating a notorious reputation around rivers and beaches. According to legends, Gyuki’s death has the potential to alter the geography of an area, forming islands and rivers.
Itsumade

In the Celestial Realm, the Environmental Warrior Mark Mars can transform into Itsumade. This is a mythical entity in Japanese folklore, resembling a large bird with the body of a frog. Itsumade flies over villages suffering from epidemics and disasters, always lamenting “Until when?” in a haunting voice. This creature thrives on the despair of the living, feasting on death and suffering.
Itsumade’s story has been linked to a new name created by a legendary hero, possibly referencing the abilities of one of the members of the Straw Hat Pirates, a skilled warrior.
Fengxi

Topman Warcury, known for his cleverness, always makes snide remarks at those who fail to complete their missions. During the operation to eliminate the Kingdom of Lulusia, Warcury transforms into Fengxi, a fierce dragon-like creature from Chinese mythology, known for causing chaos and destruction.
While we have yet to see Warcury in action on Egghead Island, legends suggest that the form of Fengxi may indeed unleash devastating attacks.
Bakotsu

Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, the Financial Warrior, is the only member who does not wear a suit. Instead, he dons a loose-fitting white keikogi, cinched with a yellow obi. Nusjuro’s katana is always at hand rather than being tucked into his obi.
Bakotsu’s form represents a striking combination of samurai prowess and the ghostly appearance of a horse. Nusjuro has shown himself to be extraordinarily capable, especially when incapacitating a group of Pacifista units with his swift and agile style.
Bakotsu draws inspiration from a pale horse from mythology, bringing a chilling aura to his presence. It is said that Bakotsu is a yokai created from the bones of a horse lost in a fierce battle.
Sand Worm

Saint Shepherd Ju Peter, the Agricultural Warrior, has made a significant impact on Egghead Island in the form of a Sandworm. This creature is reminiscent of the legendary sandworms from the Dune franchise. With the ability to move swiftly beneath the ground and possessing a thick, toxic substance, the Sandworm creates a new layer of danger on the battlefield.
Are we haunted by evil?
The potential for these mythical creatures to transform into powerful entities without needing to consume sinister energies raises questions about the essence of their being. There is an intriguing theory suggesting that the Celestial Realm may be a place where evil is quenched, revealing the source and strength of its dark essence more profoundly and mysteriously. The tale on Egghead Island is likely to unveil much more about these enigmatic characters and the potential realities of their existence.
