On January 4, QQ reported that actor Cao Ho, who played the character Hư Trúc in the 2003 film The Legend of the Dragon , was recognized by fans during a food delivery outing. The cheerful actor took selfies with fans, displaying a natural and sincere demeanor, despite being recognized as a well-known star.
According to QQ , Cao Ho’s current lifestyle is closely tied to his vegetable farming in Thâm Quyến, China. The actor frequently livestreams to share his life as a farmer and sells products online. When asked whether he planned to return to acting, Cao Ho firmly replied, “I will not act in films anymore.”
However, Cao Ho maintains close relationships with fellow industry professionals. Actress Trương Mẫn has visited him at his home in Thâm Quyến. He has also met with actors Đỗ Tùng Nhân and Đảo Hồng.

According to QQ , Cao Ho is still regarded as a talented actor with significant potential in the film industry. Born in 1974, he was trained in acting and graduated from the Central Academy of Drama in China.
With a role as the monk Hư Trúc, which had both comedic and dramatic elements in The Legend of the Dragon (2003), Cao Ho quickly rose to fame as a top-tier star. He received accolades for his performance, despite having limited screen time, and portrayed Hư Trúc with a charming and intricate personality. Notably, the acclaimed comedy director of contemporary China, Hoàng Bột, often praised Cao Ho’s talent.
However, his career faced challenges due to some unfortunate incidents. In 2003, while at the height of his career, Cao Ho was involved in an accident on set; his vehicle malfunctioned and crashed into a lighting technician, resulting in the technician’s tragic death. Cao Ho faced a suspended sentence for a year, along with a fine of 300,000 RMB.
After this incident, the actor had to stay out of the public eye for a time. Director Trương Nghệ Mưu also held Cao Ho in high regard for his involvement in the film Kim Lăng thập tam thoa .

However, Cao Ho’s path was not without further difficulties. In 2013, a repairman was found dead in his apartment in Beijing, where Cao Ho was residing. The actor was implicated and had to pay 350,000 RMB in compensation.
By 2014, the entertainment industry was caught off guard when Cao Ho was arrested for drug use. After his release, the actor apologized to the public but struggled to regain his previous standing, ultimately leaving the industry behind. The unfortunate events surrounding his life led to many regretting what could have been an illustrious acting career.
