Daredevil

In Daredevil, filmmakers created a character for Jennifer Garner that resonates with the typical traits associated with female superheroes. Born in 1972, she donned a skin-tight leather costume that made her appearance striking. However, Garner shared that she could not wear the costume comfortably and often struggled to breathe due to the tightness of the fabric. The costume had to be specially tailored to accommodate her movements, which led to the process of getting dressed taking up to 45 minutes.
Additionally, the lead actress felt that the costume made her look more alluring, as the director insisted on incorporating silicone enhancements into her outfit. “I think I had about three different sizes on set with different fittings… It definitely wasn’t the most flattering costume for someone who was supposed to be running and fighting,” she noted.
The World Is Not Enough

In the 007 film, alongside James Bond’s daring exploits, there is always a stunning and sultry Bond Girl. With this in mind, the director of The World Is Not Enough dressed the beautiful Denise Richards in a tight-fitting mini skirt and a leather crop-top, showcasing her impressive figure while also embodying the character of a lethal femme fatale.
Underworld

When watching Underworld, audiences are captivated by the striking image of actress Kate Beckinsale, who appears both fierce and seductive in her skin-tight rubber bodysuit. However, only those who don the suit truly understand its challenges.
“It was a rubber bodysuit with a leather corset that made you feel really empowered but also constricted. You would enter a room and the costume would make a sound as you moved. Everyone would know you were there,” the actress explained.
Clearly, the bodysuit was restrictive in terms of movement and visibility. Along with this, Kate felt she had to gain some weight because she didn’t want to appear too skinny in the skin-tight costume.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

In Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Karen Gillan plays the warrior Ruby, who enters the Jumanji world. Despite the main setting being a lush jungle filled with dangerous terrains, she wears a short outfit and a crop-top that shows plenty of skin, diverging from the more conservative outfits worn by her male counterparts. The choice of wardrobe by the filmmakers clearly emphasizes the character’s engagement in perilous situations.
Iron Man 2

Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson, has become one of the most famous female superheroes in the Marvel cinematic universe. She is not only beautiful but also a fierce warrior. Notably, in Iron Man 2, she wears a skin-tight bodysuit, emphasizing her agility and combat skills while also showcasing her stunning looks.
Into the Blue

According to Jessica Alba, her character was not originally supposed to wear a bikini, as her role as a marine biologist was meant to convey a more serious tone. However, the filmmakers opted to let Jessica wear a bikini for certain scenes. When she arrived on set, the actress was informed she had to shoot those bikini segments. Thus, she had no choice but to comply.
“Every time the camera started rolling, I would cringe at the thought of having to expose myself. I called my mom and said: ‘I can’t do this! I hate this movie!'”, Alba reminisced.
X-Men: Apocalypse

In X-Men: Apocalypse, aside from the main characters, the character Psylocke captured attention not only for her combat skills but also for her striking appearance in a skin-tight outfit. Her costume design earned her a spot on the list of the most daring characters in film, with an outfit resembling a battle uniform.
Charmed

The main characters in the series Charmed frequently appear in enchanting outfits. They might wear costumes that resemble battle gear, but the attire often reflects a more mystical theme. For instance, in season six, the sisters transformed into Amazonian warriors and ventured into a barren wasteland devoid of civilization. Despite the fantastical elements of the costumes, they managed to maintain a chic and elegant appearance. It is disappointing, however, that the creators dressed the actresses in high-heeled boots unsuitable for their adventurous environment.
Barb Wire

Based on a comic book, the character in Barb Wire closely follows the original material. However, the outfit design was not entirely fitting for the context. The main character, played by Pamela Anderson, is a bar bouncer who wears a skin-tight leather outfit that accentuates her curves. She also dons various costumes throughout the film, all designed to suit her action-oriented scenes, including fighting, driving, and other high-adrenaline activities.
Sahara

Set against the backdrop of the Sahara desert, Penélope Cruz’s character faces extreme heat while wearing a sleeveless outfit that exposes her shoulders, arms, and chest. She even opts to not wear much makeup, indicating that the character’s beauty is natural and unadorned. This decision highlights that sometimes, looking stunning requires sacrificing comfort and practicality.
