Ewan McGregor, the leading actor in the film industry, has recently topped the charts for the most on-screen nudity, as reported by the Telegraph.
“The truth is, I wouldn’t be comfortable being naked if it wasn’t necessary. I don’t do it for the sake of doing it; it just feels pointless. However, films reflect our lives. I appreciate films that are artistic, and a necessary part of portraying reality is nudity. I don’t want to become a boy standing outside a high school while still covering my sensitive areas because nobody does that in real life. If you’ve just gone through a rainstorm with a woman in bed, you wouldn’t be shy about being naked while she looks at you. At least, I wouldn’t,” McGregor explained in The Art of Living in the Present.
In contrast, actress Eva Green, known for her 18+ scenes in the film The Dreamers (2003), expressed her anxiety about doing nudity on screen: “I feel awkward. I really get shy, especially when thousands of people are watching. I genuinely don’t understand why I do it. I need to go through a healing process!”
