Gacha Games Revenue Surges in Early 2025
As is customary, every new month brings renewed interest from the gaming community, particularly regarding the revenue generated by popular titles. Among these, games that dominate the Gacha genre have garnered significant attention. Notably, the Gacha segment is highlighted due to intense competition, with numerous new titles emerging rapidly.

Recently, the Gacha Revenue Tracker has released data reflecting the performance of these titles in January 2025. As predicted, miHoYo’s Genshin Impact continues to thrive, capturing a remarkable market share and achieving revenues that are double those of December 2024. With an impressive revenue of $99.4 million (nearly 2.5 trillion VND), Genshin Impact has clearly outperformed many competitors, setting a strong precedent for miHoYo in the new year.
However, Other Gacha Titles Are Also Surging
Overall, the revenue rankings of Gacha games have not changed drastically at the start of the new year. Nevertheless, several titles have maintained their stronghold in the top positions. Many games have even surpassed expectations, with some climbing up to 14 ranks and achieving record revenue.

For instance, Blue Archive saw a threefold increase in revenue and consistently ranked high across all Japanese game charts. Similarly, Arknights experienced nearly double the revenue, jumping 10 positions to enter the top 10. The success of these titles can be attributed to the quality events and updates provided by their publishers, which effectively captured the interest of the gaming community.
In summary, despite the fierce competitive environment, Gacha games continue to thrive, demonstrating resilience in their player base and implementing effective development strategies in the new year.
