Eiichiro Oda is truly a master when it comes to depicting epic battles. However, there are some grand battles in One Piece that have yet to be showcased in full detail.
1. Sakazuki vs. Kuzan

The battle between Sakazuki and Kuzan is one of the longest and most significant fights in the history of One Piece, lasting for many days and culminating in Sakazuki being severely injured and Kuzan losing part of his left leg. Punk Hazard became a battlefield with one side engulfed in flames and the other buried in snow due to the clash of these two former admirals.
However, until now, we have yet to see how Sakazuki and Kuzan truly fought.
2. Sabo and the Revolutionary Army vs. Fujitora and Ryokugyu
The first time we heard about the confrontation between Sabo and the Revolutionary Army against Ryokugyu and Fujitora was during the initial stages of the Wano arc.
After the first part of the Wano arc concluded, a confrontation between the two admirals and the revolutionary army took place at Mariejoa. The two admirals, Ryokugyu and Fujitora, engaged in battle with Sabo alongside revolutionary commanders like Karasu, Morley, and Lindbergh.
During the interval between parts 2 and 3 of the Wano arc, Fujitora left Mariejoa with significant injuries. Even though news about Sabo appeared in the newspapers, the truth remains a mystery to the audience. It is known that after hearing the news about Sabo, both Dadan and Makino cried, while the Revolutionary Army was very concerned. The battle has not been fully depicted yet.
3. Garp and Roger vs. the Rocks Pirates
This is likely the most famous battle that One Piece readers have speculated about since Sengoku’s revelation. It turns out that Roger and Garp teamed up to take down the Rocks Pirates on God Valley.
Just imagine, Roger and Garp had to face off against a group of powerful pirates that included Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido, Shiki, and Xebec. This battle could be even more intense than the Marineford War.
Unfortunately, the details of this battle have not been revealed.
4. Shanks vs. Mihawk
The rivalry between Mihawk and Shanks still echoes in the ears of fans. Mihawk has expressed that he does not wish to fight Shanks, especially since Shanks only has one arm, which indicates that Shanks would be incredibly powerful if he had both arms.
Unfortunately, we have yet to see the actual battle between Mihawk and Shanks.
5. Shanks vs. Kaido
Before the Marineford War, Kaido once claimed he wanted to clash with Shanks’ crew. However, that encounter never happened, as Shanks has successfully confronted Kaido. What transpired during Shanks’ confrontation with Kaido? Did they engage in battle? If so, did Kaido lose because after that, Shanks went to Marineford without any injuries?
Unfortunately, the encounter between Shanks and Kaido remains a mystery, as we do not know what happened.
6. Blackbeard vs. Shanks
At one point, Blackbeard, before obtaining the Yami Yami no Mi fruit, fought against Shanks. At that time, Blackbeard was still a member of the Red-Haired Pirates.
With the dark fruit powers that Teach later acquired, he severely injured Shanks and left a scar on his eye. This is a significant achievement, especially considering that Mihawk couldn’t inflict such an injury on Shanks.
However, the details of Shanks’ encounter with Blackbeard have yet to be fully revealed.
7. Shiki vs. Garp and Sengoku
Sengoku and Garp are two high-ranking admirals revered for their strength against Roger. At one point, Garp and Sengoku teamed up to fight against Shiki, until the Marine headquarters was destroyed.
In reality, how intense was the confrontation between them? Unfortunately, it has not been depicted. We only get to see the aftermath of the battle after it concluded.
