The live-action adaptation of One Piece by Netflix has become a hot topic in the anime community since its announcement. Following its release, the series received overwhelming feedback from viewers, including fans from Japan. With an impressive viewership in its second week, the show achieved remarkable ratings.
According to recent data, the viewership of One Piece live-action on Netflix not only maintained its ratings but even increased during the second week, reaching 14.57 million views and attracting 19.3 million viewers overall.
With the growing viewership combined with global audience acclaim, fans are eagerly awaiting updates on the potential second season of One Piece.

Producers have reportedly laid out a comprehensive plan for the next season, and if Netflix gives the green light, we might see the introduction of new adventures from the One Piece world.
The production team from Tomorrow Studios, including Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements, has recently begun discussions. They have confirmed that a detailed plan is in place for up to 12 episodes of One Piece live-action.
Regarding season two of One Piece live-action, Becky Clements stated that there have been intense discussions with Shueisha (the manga publisher), Eiichiro Oda, and Netflix about what can be done for the second installment if the opportunity arises.
While not much has been disclosed, the producers have expressed their desire to adapt content from volume three to volume six of the manga. The core principle is to adapt a substantial part of the original manga and not deviate significantly from the live-action format.

Clements believes that as long as they can execute up to six seasons of One Piece live-action, the storytelling will continue to follow the manga closely. With the rich content available from the original manga, the series could potentially extend to many more seasons. Marty Adelstein mentioned that he envisions up to 12 seasons of One Piece.
The production team understands the importance of staying true to the original source material while also delivering what fans wish to see in the live-action adaptation. Becky emphasized that the support from Oda is a crucial factor that contributes to the success of One Piece.
However, currently, Netflix has not officially confirmed the green light for the second season.
