T1 Faces Tough Challenges in LCK Cup 2025 Playoffs
Following the group stage of the LCK Cup 2025, T1 has displayed an impressive form. After a strong match against Dplus KIA, T1 has yet to lose to any opponents, including Gen.G. However, due to a poor Baron performance, T1 will have to face Hanwha Life Esports in the first match of the LCK Cup 2025 playoffs.

With a best-of-five matchup, both teams are expected to encounter significant challenges. Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) is currently on a winning streak and their players have shown great synergy. The key point for HLE is the performance of their main carry, Zeka. If the match goes to five games, Zeka may have to rely solely on his left hand, which would be a considerable challenge.
On the other hand, T1 is facing difficulties primarily in the support role, which is currently held by Smash. A BO5 match differs greatly from a BO3, and T1’s opponents so far, except for DK (who has been defeated) and Gen.G (who dropped out in the decisive round), have not posed a significant threat to T1’s dominance in the LCK Cup 2025.

If T1 puts their trust in Smash, they must deliver a much better performance than in previous matches. The reality is, if Faker, Oner, and Keria can’t execute at their highest level, T1 will face significant challenges when relying on Smash. Moreover, Smash has also encountered difficulties when facing strong teams or those with high determination.
The matchup between T1 and HLE is particularly precarious since both teams only have one unique lineup for this match. Whichever team falters will likely suffer immediate consequences. In this context, T1 faces a daunting task regarding the performance of their star players, as HLE is a much stronger team compared to all of T1’s previous opponents in the LCK Cup 2025.
