In Boruto manga chapter 77, Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga were sent by Kawaki to another dimension. What will happen to the Hokage and his family in this situation? Chapter 78, the latest release of the Boruto manga, has revealed some intriguing details.
1. Naruto is currently in a dimension where time is frozen

Kawaki explained in Boruto chapter 78 about Daikokuten—a Shinjutsu that allows users to access a dimension where time does not flow. Currently, Naruto and Hinata are trapped in this dimension. According to Kawaki, Naruto and Hinata will not age or worry while in this space. However, even though they could potentially remain in this other dimension for a long time, they would still remain the same until they eventually return to the outside world.
2. Hinata and Naruto were sent to another dimension for a good reason
Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga were sent by Kawaki to another dimension as mentioned in chapter 77. However, the intention behind this action from Kawaki is not malicious. Kawaki will do anything to protect Naruto, including eliminating all Otsutsuki clan members.
This implies that Kawaki’s objective includes Boruto—an individual with the potential to become an Otsutsuki, even more so than an ordinary human. However, Naruto does not allow this, leading to Kawaki making the decision to send Naruto and Hinata to another dimension.
Kawaki mentioned that once he finishes his task, he will allow Naruto to reclaim his life.
3. Uncertainty remains on how long Naruto and Hinata will be trapped

We know that Naruto and Hinata are in a dimension where time is frozen. But how long will they remain trapped? The answer to this question is still unclear. However, considering the words Kawaki said in chapter 1 when the Boruto manga began, stating, “I will allow the father and son to be reborn, Boruto,” it suggests that they will be in this state for quite some time.
There is even the possibility that Naruto and Hinata could remain trapped in this other dimension for years. Observing the appearance of Naruto and Kawaki in chapter 1, there is a significant change compared to the present, especially in terms of their character development.
Additionally, at the end of Boruto chapter 78, Momoshiki told Boruto that every time he opens the portal (the portal opened at the beginning of the manga), it has transformed into reality.
