The Strongest Moment of GAM May Have Become “Self-Sacrifice”
Recently, GAM Esports continued their match against CBTC Flying Oyster. After the first game was affected by a bug, which impacted the performance of both teams (with CFO also under pressure), the second match turned out to be a one-dimensional affair for the representatives of the PCS. It can be said that in this battle, the gameplay and lineup were considered the most significant shortcomings of GAM and became completely ineffective if we don’t want to say they had turned into “self-sacrifice”.

Specifically, the gameplay that GAM applied in the match was primarily about retaining control. However, when they chose Kiaya, it seemed there was no need for too many resources or they could accept being under-resourced during certain phases, but they still did not provide the necessary “care” for Artemis. The gameplay still revolved around Kiaya – Levi as usual, while Artemis remained “void” due to the lack of resources compared to CFO’s Doggo.

After GAM’s defeat, many fans expressed their confusion. Indeed, GAM’s losses revolved around the top lane due to the continuous use of Artemis. However, when they relied on Artemis, it unfortunately made this team unable to execute their typical gameplay because they lacked enough resources. As a result, both sides of GAM failed to perform well when the opponents became too accustomed to the gameplay of the representatives from VCS.

GAM Continues to Dive into the Arena Without a Retreat
Once again at LCP 2025, GAM dived into an arena where they no longer had a fallback. However, this time their opponent was not the familiar TSW but TALON – a representative that was significantly stronger than TSW. Nevertheless, the opportunity for GAM is not necessarily absent. There is only one thing, if they continue to perform as they did in the recent match against CFO, the door for the representatives of VCS is exceedingly wide open.

It is evident that “the leaf has fallen” of VCS, with GAM’s performance at present clearly leaving VCS fans quite disappointed. Nevertheless, GAM’s strength is most evident when they dive into the competitive arena. Therefore, VCS fans can still have faith that Levi and the team can rectify their mistakes as they continue their journey at the LCP Kickoffs 2025.
