Many years after the initial introduction of the events surrounding the non-canonical anime “Dragon Ball GT,” creator Akira Toriyama has officially brought this concept back to life with the storyline of Dragon Ball Daima.
The final episode of Dragon Ball Daima concluded the major battle against the formidable Lord Gomah, showcasing a new Super Saiyan 4 form of Goku. However, it included a rather unexpected twist. While the magic of Neva allowed Goku to achieve this form, Goku himself expressed doubt about whether it was truly effective, as he had not trained specifically for it.
Since Dragon Ball Daima takes place after the Majin Buu arc and before the Battle of Gods arc, it is clear that Goku could potentially benefit from utilizing the Super Saiyan 4 form in certain situations. However, it appears that he did not do so.
Battle with Beerus
In the fight against Beerus at the beginning of the Battle of Gods arc, there is a notable example regarding this new form. If Super Saiyan 4 is a transformation that Goku could achieve, then during his first battle with Beerus, Goku only resorted to using Super Saiyan 3.

Even though he eventually gained the power of the gods after this battle, Goku’s reluctance to harness the immense strength of Super Saiyan 4 to counter Beerus makes it somewhat disappointing upon reflection.
Battle with Goku Black
In his battle against Goku Black, the absence of Super Saiyan 4 was also a significant oversight. While Goku utilized various Super Saiyan forms to confront the villain, the fight quickly escalated to a divine level.

Super Saiyan 4 would not have been suitable in the later stages of this fight, as it may not have been on par with the divine forms, but Goku could have used it earlier in the confrontation while Goku Black was still figuring out his true power.
Battle with Kefla

Despite Goku needing to use Super Saiyan 4 multiple times in intense battles, it only had one significant moment where it was necessary. For example, in the fight against Kale and Caulifla — two Saiyans from Universe 6. During this time, Goku even resorted to using Super Saiyan 3 to demonstrate his transformation abilities.
It would have been quite appealing if he had used even a bit of Super Saiyan 4 to showcase the power of a Saiyan, yet such an occurrence never happened.
Battle with Jiren

Goku has had several battles against Jiren, so it would make sense for him to use Super Saiyan 4 as a viable way to counterbalance his abilities when divine forms are not available. Imagine Goku striving to reach his peak potential as he could not fully utilize his divine strength, but it seems that none of these scenarios played out.
Battle with Broly
This situation is quite similar to the encounters with the Saiyans from Universe 6. Both Goku and Vegeta went through different transformations while battling another Saiyan, but none of them explored the new forms introduced in Dragon Ball Daima.

If both had the opportunity to access Super Saiyan 3 (in Vegeta’s case) and Super Saiyan 4 (in Goku’s case), this would have been the moment to showcase their prowess before advancing to their divine transformations.
Battle with Gas

In the climactic battle of Dragon Ball Super where Goku was actively involved, Gas would be the perfect opponent for him to use Super Saiyan 4. The sheer potential of this form would have been advantageous against one of the strongest foes Goku has faced to date, and it would have been a significant moment for Goku and Vegeta as they both harnessed their true powers in a critical fight.
