After over a year of being a console exclusive on PlayStation 5, Rise of Ronin – one of the anticipated global blockbusters – is finally preparing to launch on PC.
This is exciting news for gamers currently awaiting the release, as players can now pre-order Rise of Ronin on Steam. The game is officially set to debut on this platform on March 11.

With just a few days left, Rise of Ronin will be in the hands of PC gamers. However, amidst the excitement, there are still some concerns.
The most notable concern is the game’s system requirements. According to information from the Steam page for Rise of Ronin, even meeting the minimum specifications may lead players to face difficulties in achieving optimal performance. This situation reminds players of the previous title, Monster Hunter Wilds, which also faced performance issues on PC due to poor optimization, heavily relying on upscaling and frame generation.

One of the biggest concerns regarding Rise of Ronin is its storage requirements. The game demands a whopping 180GB of space on an SSD, with a clear note on Steam stating that “poor SSD performance may affect the gaming experience.” At the release level, the developers even recommend using an NVMe SSD to ensure a smooth experience, especially when compared to other AAA titles. Although the PC version of Rise of Ronin will support 8K resolution, ray tracing, Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR, and frame generation, its substantial storage requirement may be a significant hurdle for those with limited storage capacity.

This could make Rise of Ronin one of the heaviest games on Steam, alongside titles like God of War: Ragnarok (190GB) and DCS World (200GB).
