Solo Leveling is one of the most highly regarded manhwa from South Korea. This acclaimed work has already been adapted into an anime and is set to receive a live-action adaptation in the near future.
The anime Solo Leveling (Japanese title: Ore Dake Level Up Na Ken) is scheduled to premiere in 2024, and we now know that it will consist of approximately 23 to 25 episodes. The first season will be divided into two parts, both of which will be released within the same year.

With a total of 25 episodes, the series has ample space to explore the storyline and character development adequately. Splitting the first season into two parts is a smart choice, especially since both will be released in the same year. This allows the production team to take the time needed to fine-tune the details without compromising quality, ensuring it attracts a large audience.
The production team for the anime includes Shunsuke Nakashige as the director and Noboru Kimura as the scriptwriter. The soundtrack is composed by Hiroyuki Sawano, known for his work on Attack on Titan, Blue Exorcist, and Kill la Kill. The anime is being produced by A-1 Pictures, the studio behind notable works like Sword Art Online and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. With such a talented roster, it’s safe to say that the anime is being produced with high-quality standards.

Solo Leveling is written by Chugong and was published from 2016 to 2018, comprising a total of 270 chapters across 14 volumes. The story unfolds in a world where hunters possess extraordinary abilities to combat monstrous threats. The main character, Sung Jin-Woo, starts as the weakest hunter but gains immense power through a mysterious system known as “the Player,” guiding him on perilous yet captivating adventures.
Interestingly, when Solo Leveling was adapted into an anime, while the overall storyline remains intact, certain elements may differ from what fans experienced in the original manhwa. Names of the main characters will also be localized into Japanese. For instance, the character Sung Jin-Woo will be renamed Shun Mizushino. Additionally, the setting will be shifted from Seoul to Tokyo.
