The title in question is Sleeping Dogs – a game that has now been around for 13 years. With a diverse mission system and an open-world environment filled with engaging events, Sleeping Dogs has often been referred to as the “Asian version” of GTA. Over the past 13 years, however, it seems that Sleeping Dogs has gradually faded into obscurity.
However, there is hope for the next installment of this beloved title as signs of a “resurgence” are appearing. Specifically, Simu Liu – the actor known for his role as Shang-Chi – has hinted at the possibility of a film adaptation based on Sleeping Dogs. Moreover, he has expressed his desire to push for the next game in the Sleeping Dogs franchise to become a reality. This news has sparked excitement among countless fans of the franchise.
Of course, everything is still in the “planning” stage, aside from the confirmation regarding the film adaptation of Sleeping Dogs. Nonetheless, this is quite encouraging information, especially when fans of Sleeping Dogs realize that this game is not entirely forgotten.
