The Swift Challenge for Students in 2025 officially opened for registration on February 3, offering great opportunities for thousands of participants around the world to showcase their creativity and enhance their programming skills.
This competition focuses on Swift – a modern programming language developed by Apple. It is utilized by leading developers to create applications on iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. With its simplicity and user-friendly design, Swift is a powerful tool for creating complex applications and is an ideal starting point for anyone looking to learn programming and develop products.
The official announcement for the competition was made on February 3 and will run for three weeks. Participants can submit their entries directly through the developer website apple.com.


In 2024, Ho Le Minh Thach, a student from Vietnam, excelled by winning Apple’s award with the app Mindful Eating. This app focuses on tracking the eating habits of users, providing insights into healthy eating practices.
The app was well-received due to its innovative approach, leveraging the powerful capabilities of Apple’s programming language, making Thach one of the outstanding students globally awarded in 2024. This serves as a prime example of using technology to create products that bring positive social value, which Apple continually encourages in its competitions.
