As a student of RMIT, Quốc has made significant contributions to the development of an eSports community at the university. Notably, he led the RMIT team to the finals of the Student Cup 2023, achieving an impressive ranking in the Top 8.
A Passion for eSports and Community Building
Starting from a background in professional gaming, previously achieving the title in Vietnam’s eLigue 1 and representing the country at the FC Pro Festival 2023 in Busan, South Korea, Quốc not only focuses on conquering major tournaments but also aims to bridge eSports closer to the university environment.
At RMIT – an environment that promotes innovation and creativity, Quốc sees great potential for eSports within the academic setting. To him, eSports goes beyond just gaming; it serves as a foundational discipline that cultivates strategic thinking, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure. Therefore, Quốc Various is actively reaching out to fellow students with shared passions, forming competitive teams and establishing RMIT as a major player in the eSports arena.
Impressions at the Student Cup 2023
Under Quốc’s leadership, the RMIT team made a remarkable impression at the Student Cup 2023, a national eSports competition aimed at students. For the first time, the name RMIT appeared in the finals, securing a prestigious spot in the Top 8 – a significant achievement for their inaugural participation. This success not only marks a personal milestone for Quốc but also opens a new chapter for eSports at RMIT, showcasing the potential and capabilities of students in this field.
Aspirations to Further RMIT’s Reach in eSports
Not content with just their initial success, Quốc Various aims to continue collaborating with RMIT in larger competitions, expanding the university’s presence on the student eSports scene. He firmly believes that with the right investment, RMIT can not only maintain its name but also evolve into a significant force in eSports competitions both regionally and nationally.
In addition, Quốc hopes to establish an eSports ecosystem within the university – a space where students can learn and pursue their passions without hesitation.
