The Dominant Strength of Vayne’s Build in TFT Season 14
In TFT Season 14, the meta has shifted slightly with some adjustments to mechanics, allowing champions to synergize with each other, depending on the blood-sucking mechanics they possess. For compositions that require consistent damage output, this shift may not seem significant as they are often associated with burst damage. However, in the case of Vayne (a late-game carry), this mechanic becomes exceptionally strong and aids in prolonged skirmishes during battles.
The reason I emphasize the significance of the Jarvan IV build is due to its ability to amplify Vayne’s damage output significantly, providing a steady increase in survivability and damage that can be derived from the Vanguard trait. The main challenge for the Vayne-centric composition is ensuring that she remains in a safe position while consistently dealing damage to her opponents. The blood-sucking mechanics from Vayne will allow Jarvan IV to become exceptionally tanky, making it difficult for enemies to quickly eliminate her and creating the conditions necessary for Vayne to deal damage more freely.
Building a Vayne-Centric Composition in TFT Season 14
In the initial stages of the game, players can start with 2 Vanguard champions including Sylas and Vi to ensure Vayne’s survivability. Following that, Shaco and Vayne will be essential units to enhance the overall damage output of the composition. If luck favors them, players can reach a level 4 Vanguard at level 5 to keep Vayne’s health up while also forming a solid frontline for Vayne to deal damage.
At level 6, players should replace Vi with Jarvan IV to maximize the trait synergy and ensure a strong frontline. Additionally, having a unit like Illaoi or Seraphine will allow activation of the 3 Vanguard trait with ample health that is especially beneficial for Vayne’s carry potential. After completing this initial goal, players should aim to hit level 7 and utilize the roll feature to upgrade both Vayne and Jarvan IV to 3 stars.
In the later stages of the game, powerful 4-5 cost units like Leona, Zed, and Renekton will be crucial additions. Among these, Zed will play a key role in providing utility to the composition, allowing Vayne to quickly eliminate enemies. Additionally, Renekton and Senna will further activate powerful traits from the Vanguard while providing ample energy for Vayne to deal more impactful damage.
Some Important Notes When Building the Composition
Regarding Vayne, the capability of this trait has an incredible potential when combined with Guinsoo’s Rageblade as it significantly enhances her damage output. Therefore, players should aim to equip 2 Guinsoo’s Rageblades to Vayne along with the Runaan’s Hurricane to maximize her damage potential. For the item section, the Hot Temper is an essential upgrade that allows Vayne to gain additional critical strike chances when paired with Guinsoo’s Rageblade.
