Latest Soulslike Game, The First Berserker: Khazan, Launches with Major Success for Developer Neople
Currently, this game is climbing the charts as one of the top-selling titles on Steam, boasting a 94% positive rating from players who pre-purchased it to experience the early access.

Player Feedback: A Motivating Factor for Continuous Improvement
The latest balance update is based on data from beta testing, early access feedback, and player responses, focusing on adjustments to the difficulty of certain boss fights and two specific enemy types. Notably, Viper – the “player-hunting” boss that appears at the initial checkpoint, has been recognized as a particularly challenging opponent, with adjustments made to reduce its difficulty. Many players have expressed that this encounter is both challenging and immensely satisfying, although the developers recognize that the difficulty level for Viper may be too high for players who are still developing their skills at that point in the game.

Another boss that appears subsequently, Maluca, has also been rated as excessively difficult – particularly as it presents a challenge twice as hard compared to the previous confrontation. As a result, Neople plans to adjust the difficulty level for this boss fight as well. While they aim to reduce the difficulty, the developers still want to maintain the thrilling experience of overcoming challenges, ensuring that the sense of achievement remains intact. However, some other boss fights may be made more difficult, as they do not yet provide the same level of satisfaction when defeated. Details about these bosses are still under wraps to avoid spoiling the storyline.

Despite the high difficulty level, The First Berserker: Khazan aims to broaden the gaming experience for a wider audience. Therefore, the Easy Mode has been adjusted to allow players to take less frequent damage, with adjustments to the damage inflicted by enemies to support those who prefer a more casual gaming style and want to enjoy the game without too much stress.
