Concern Over Version 5.6 of Genshin Impact: Significant Reduction in Primogems
As usual, whenever a new version is released, the community’s concern about Genshin Impact’s resource supply is always a hot topic. For free-to-play (F2P) games, what matters most is the calculation of Primogems—how to efficiently accumulate them to form the desired team composition.

In version 5.5, miHoYo was quite generous, offering players a hefty amount of Primogems—specifically, 12,875 Primogems (equivalent to approximately 80 rolls). This was a considerable amount, ensuring that players had a good chance of obtaining a 5-star character or weapon. However, in version 5.6, this number has dropped significantly to just 9,265 Primogems (around 57 rolls).

What Should Genshin Impact Players Do with This Primogem Count?
Clearly, the best option here is to continue accumulating Primogems. In version 5.7, Skirk—a very powerful character—will officially debut in Natlan, which players have been eagerly anticipating. They may choose to invest in sub-DPS/support characters like Varesa, Escoffier, Iansan, or Ifa to help maximize their damage output in various combat situations.

Importantly, saving up for the next major update, version 6.0, should also be a priority for players. During this phase, the Nod-Krai region will be the first new area introduced in Genshin Impact—not a complete nation but a vast area filled with new adventures. As a result, the need to stockpile resources is even more crucial, especially for F2P players, to avoid resource shortages in the future.
