Faker Set to Break Milestone Amidst Fan Doubts About T1
Only a few more hours remain, and the first match of the 2025 Regular Seasons will officially kick off the new LCK season. Despite the drama that unfolded at the end of 2024, T1 remains a formidable force. Notably, in the first week of the 2025 Regular Seasons, Faker may reach a significant milestone in his career: becoming the first player in LCK history to achieve 1000 games played.

Currently, Faker has played 994 games with over 600 victories. This is a remarkable achievement that no one has surpassed within the T1 organization. Moreover, Faker is the player with the most LCK championships. If T1 can secure victories in both of their upcoming matches (against DRX and Gen.G), Faker will set the record during the opening week of the 2025 Regular Seasons.

However, this will be challenging if T1 fields their strongest lineup and the players perform at their peak in both matches. Otherwise, DRX will struggle to push T1 to a third game if Faker and his teammates do not make significant mistakes. Additionally, Faker will aim to secure this record in the upcoming match against KT Rolster in the first week for an official confirmation.

As for T1’s performance, this team no longer enjoys the trust of its fans. Following the unsuccessful LCK Cup 2025, coupled with ongoing internal issues, many fans believe that obtaining a MSI slot will be difficult when only 2 spots are available, and HLE and Gen.G are currently dominating the rankings. Meanwhile, the World Championship still seems far off.

Faker Remains T1’s Ace Player
There’s no need to emphasize too much on Faker’s role, as he himself understands that every victory and achievement will help T1 escape the current predicament. However, he knows that the road ahead is challenging. If T1 continues to face teams that are “gathering data” and their opponents are not performing well, Faker will have to bear the brunt of the pressure.
