How Will Dot Kich Mobile Make a “Hot” Comeback?
CrossFire: Legends is a well-known mobile version of the legendary FPS game, Crossfire (Dot Kich), which once made waves on PC platforms from 2008 to 2016. Upon its release, the game was regarded as a “game-changer” for the PC version, offering a unique and engaging experience on mobile devices.

However, after a brief period of success, the game fell into obscurity around 2017, with the official fan page of CrossFire: Legends ceasing all operations. By October 2020, the game developers announced the termination of partnerships with local publishers, declaring a “shutdown” that left the Vietnamese gaming community in dismay.

Certainly, there are many subjective reasons that led to Crossfire: Legends’ decline in the Vietnamese gaming market. Among the most notable issues are rampant hacking and cheating, which few games dared to tackle directly. Despite this, the legacy of being the “king” of FPS games remains strong, prompting every gaming community to pay attention to its current status, even after nearly five years of inactivity.
Is Dot Kich Mobile Planning a “Comeback”?
Recently, a post popped up on the official fan page of Crossfire: Legends after more than seven years of silence. Specifically, this post announced a brief message hinting that the game might return in the near future, even going so far as to encourage players to follow the “new chapter” through a brand-new fan page.

However, the timing of this post coincided with April Fool’s Day (April 1) – a period known for “pranks,” leading many to question its authenticity. This situation has caused the gaming community to enter a state of “half-belief, half-doubt”: Is this really a “troll” aimed at the players, or is it a genuine signal of a potential “comeback”?

With a rapidly growing number of interactions, the recent post has quickly attracted attention, suggesting that the influence of this legendary FPS is not entirely forgotten. Many have begun to ask: If it returns for real, can Crossfire: Legends still compete in the current gaming landscape? The market has changed dramatically, with titles like PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and Call of Duty Mobile dominating the rankings. Can a product that has been “out of the meta” due to hacking issues and game flaws really reclaim its former glory?

In fact, this is not the first time information has circulated about the potential revival of Crossfire: Legends. There were rumors circulating last year about a return in 2024, leading the Vietnamese gaming community to experience a brief “buzz.” However, all of that quickly faded into silence, leaving players disheartened and questioning the chances of this legendary title’s “resurgence.”

Currently, there has been no confirmation from major game publishers regarding Dot Kich Mobile. The fan page’s revival without clear identity behind it only adds to the growing skepticism.
