After nearly giving birth to the legendary survival game genre with the game “PUBG,” Brendan Greene continues his creative journey with an ambitious project named Prologue.
This project is set to reach early access before the end of this month, offering players a chance to experience and refine the core gameplay. Prologue is the first game in the series – a survival title with a randomly generated vast map, yet incredibly immersive.

Expected to launch in early access in the coming months, Prologue has already opened its latest testing phase on Steam, allowing players to access and experience the game.
At first glance, Prologue may evoke a feeling of a simplified survival game – players are dropped onto a vast map where they must manage their resources and survive, with the primary objective being to avoid getting killed by the harsh environment. However, lurking beneath this expansive wilderness are some of the most authentic survival experiences, challenging and immersive like no other game I have played. There are no grand structures to build, no intricate mechanics to exploit; instead, what remains is a haunting atmosphere, an endless expanse of wilderness created randomly that makes Prologue particularly engaging.

In essence, Prologue is a pure survival experience, without any assistance or guidance. Players start in a small camping area, where they may find a few items, primarily essential tools and weapons – the only items that help you navigate, seek shelter, and scavenge for resources to survive. Apart from the camps and shelters – the final destinations – there are only a few remnants of structures left on the expansive 8×8 km map of the game. Besides maintaining hunger and thirst levels, the most significant challenge for players is the weather. Unexpected rain can turn the terrain into slippery mud, while snowstorms can obscure your vision and drastically lower temperatures. If you don’t have adequate clothing to keep warm, find shelter, or stay close to a fire, you will quickly face the chilling grip of death.

If you feel that Prologue is a thrilling project, this is the perfect time to get involved. Since February, PlayerUnknown Productions has been hosting monthly testing sessions, and the current testing phase is ongoing – continuing to refine the gameplay before the official launch. The latest testing phase of Prologue is currently open on Steam and will run until the end of this Tuesday, April 14. Players can subscribe to participate, and activation codes will be distributed on a “first come, first served” basis. You can register through the official Discord channel of the game.
