There are many noteworthy developments currently unfolding in the world of One Piece, particularly concerning the mysterious beings known as the Giants in the Elbaf arc. One of the most significant events is the latest chapter of One Piece, which confirms the terrifying strength of the Giants and their formidable powers.
The Power of the Giants in Elbaf

Shortly after the Straw Hat Pirates arrived in Elbaf, the Giants began to advance into this land. Although Shamrock Figarland and Gunko were the first Giants to arrive, he was quickly ordered to retreat immediately after arriving, and Giants Sommers and Killingham replaced Shamrock.
Together, Gunko, Sommers, and Killingham formed a formidable group against the Straw Hat Pirates and the mysterious beings.
Based on what Oda has hinted at in his chapters, all of the Giants seem to harbor a dark secret, and they are hinted to have connections with Imu in one way or another. For instance, Gunko possesses immense power that Imu has used to eliminate Cobra and target Sabo. In reality, Gunko has consumed the Aro Aro no Mi, which grants him a rather dangerous ability.
Meanwhile, Killingham wields the power of the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin, allowing him to manifest any dream into reality, an extraordinary ability. Lastly, Sommers has the power of the Iba Iba no Mi, enabling him to create and control spikes, which sounds harmless but is quite powerful in practice.
When discussing the combined strength of the Giants, fans have yet to see their full might. However, based on Oda’s portrayal, they appear to be incredibly powerful, at least on par with the top-tier characters, if not stronger.
Shamrock clearly stated that he is stronger than Loki, and he is confident that even Gunko is more powerful than Loki. If Sommers and Killingham are on the same level, then every Giant could potentially become a threat to the Celestial Dragons due to their immense power, which is quite astonishing.
The Terrifying Power of the Giants: Immortal Resurrection

Specifically regarding the dark powers of the Giants, they have proven to be incredibly robust. Fans recognize that the power of these Giants can be compared to the strongest characters in One Piece. However, all of this remains to be seen as Oda has not yet confirmed it. Chapter 1146 of One Piece has confirmed that the Giants possess regenerative powers, similar to those of the Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit users. Essentially, they are beings that cannot be assassinated or seriously harmed.
As clearly demonstrated in the battle between Gunko and the Straw Hat member Usopp, the strength of the Giants is truly intimidating. Even Usopp’s attack could not inflict any damage because he could easily recover. If Gunko has the ability to regenerate, then other Giants presumably have this ability too, which means they could be monsters in the truest sense. This is why only three Giants are considered enough to make Elbaf a prominent power.
