From manga battles like Sakamoto Days and Kagurabachi to Akane-banashi and Blue Box, there are still many works that fans can choose from after the conclusion of titles like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and My Hero Academia.
From March 11 to March 25, 2025, Goo Ranking conducted a survey among Japanese manga fans to find out the most beloved titles that premiered in Weekly Shonen Jump during the 2020s. While some results were quite surprising, a notable aspect of this list is the outstanding success of several manga that have been adapted into anime in recent years or are set to be adapted soon.
Top 10 Best Shonen Jump Manga from 2020

1. Mashle: Magic and Muscles
2. The Elusive Samurai
3. Sakamoto Days
4. Blue Box
5. Dr. STONE: 4D Science
6. Me and Roboco
7. RuriDragon
8. Undead Unluck
9. Burn the Witch
10. Akane-banashi
The top 25 list from Goo Ranking features many striking titles. While Mashle and The Elusive Samurai claimed the top spot for the best Shonen Jump series of 2020, the bottom 15 entries in the rankings are also quite noteworthy. Among them is Witch Watch, a comedy series that just began airing as an anime adaptation, and Kagurabachi, which can be considered the latest action manga hit on Weekly Shonen Jump. Additionally, Ayakashi Triangle, a comedy manga, was adapted into an anime in 2023.
Notably, Mashle and The Elusive Samurai are competing closely for the first position, while Undead Unluck, Burn the Witch, and Akane-banashi are closely matched for the eighth position. Sharing the tenth spot are Witch Watch and Nue’s Exorcist.
Among the top 10 manga, only two titles have not yet received anime adaptations and are not part of any upcoming or ongoing anime series: RuriDragon and Akane-banashi. They remain among the best-selling titles in Shonen Jump, solidifying their success in the rankings.
A title that stands out in the top 25 is Ichi the Witch. Although this manga has only recently debuted within the past few months, it has already become one of the most popular titles currently featured in Weekly Shonen Jump, achieving success on par with Kagurabachi and Blue Box. However, Ichi has yet to receive an anime adaptation and, unlike Kagurabachi, has not announced any plans for such an adaptation.
