From April 19 to 24, 2025, the AoE Trung Viet 2025 tournament, organized by the La Ma Association, took place in Binh Huong city, Giang Tay, featuring 5 competitive formats with high stakes, including: Solo Shang, Solo Assyrian, 2vs2 Shang, 2vs2 Assyrian, and 3vs3 Shang. The matches from the group stage leading to the semifinals were conducted continuously over the first 5 days, culminating in the finals of all 5 formats, showcasing a spirit of excitement and anticipation.

This tournament is significant as it marks not only the return of the AoE Trung Quoc team but also their impressive level of preparation and skill. Notably, the team featured legendary players like Shenlong, who became a household name at just 16 years old and has since been a prominent figure in the AoE Trung Quoc scene after two decades of intense competition.
However, with a competitive gaming environment at its peak, the AoE Vietnam team shone brightly, securing 3 out of 5 championship titles along with 4 runner-up titles on Giang Tay soil.
Solo Shang: Shenlong showcases exceptional leadership!
The Solo Shang format is considered the greatest challenge for the AoE Vietnam team, as it represents the traditional strength of the home country. Remarkably, this format took place on the very first day—an intense starting point for the Vietnamese players who had just traveled a long distance from Hanoi to Binh Huong, and were still acclimatizing to the competitive environment.
Consequently, names like BiBi, 2k1 Bac Ninh, Cam Quy, ChipBoy, etc., did not perform up to expectations and had to fight their way through the group stages, either in the round of 16 or through knockout matches. Nevertheless, AoE Vietnam managed to leave a mark in this format with a standout player, Kamachi, who secured a spot in the finals. During this journey, the player from Clan EGO faced off against the formidable top player from Trung Quoc—Shenlong—in a semifinal match, raising hopes for a content-packed match that would be highly rated.

The duel with Kamachi in the final battle for the championship was no one other than the legendary Shenlong. Previously, the player representing Clan HBC demonstrated a remarkable ability to challenge the game’s age limits, having surpassed all expectations, including a sweeping 5-0 victory over the top player, Tien Nhu Vu, in the semifinals. In the finals, “Shenlong” continued to dominate, decisively defeating Kamachi 6-0, thus claiming the Solo Shang championship and securing a trophy for the home team.
Solo Assyrian: AoE Vietnam faces challenges, Shenlong remains a formidable force!
Despite the tough start of the tournament on enemy turf, the representatives of AoE Vietnam did not back down easily. Transitioning to Solo Assyrian—a format known for its speed and higher tactical demands—our AoE players showcased their strengths effectively.
After the group stage, AoE Vietnam had 7 players advance to the knockout round. In the left side bracket, ChipBoy—the reigning champion from the previous AoE Vietnam tournament—demonstrated a strong strategy for his team, consistently overcoming opponents to reach the finals. On the other side, players like Cam Quy and BiBi, despite having to face Shenlong, also made their mark, causing the opposing players to sweat profusely. Nevertheless, Shenlong remained the superior player, managing to advance into the final match.

The cup championship match between ChipBoy and Shenlong was marked by numerous dramatic moments and intense competition. However, it was disappointing for the AoE Vietnam team as they continuously faced unfavorable maps, resource scarcity, and were left vulnerable, allowing their opponents to exert pressure throughout the game. Ultimately, Shenlong clinched the victory with a score of 6-2, successfully securing the title in the Solo formats.
2vs2 Assyrian: Collaboration leads to victory, AoE Vietnam shines!
AoE Vietnam has indeed faced challenges in the Solo formats, but the dynamics change in team formats, especially in 2vs2 Assyrian. In this format, the teams of AoE Vietnam showcased strategic excellence and remarkable synergy. Notably, the standout teams were from Clan Thien Khoi Esports, comprising Cam Quy – 2k1 Bac Ninh and Sang Club – Tieu Man Thau.
Both teams delivered impressive performances in the group stage, subsequently advancing through the knockout rounds with outstanding strategies. In the semifinals, the display of teamwork and communication showcased their strong bond, as Sang Club – Tieu Man Thau achieved a resounding victory over Han Hai – Vu Than, with a score of 5-0. Shortly after, Cam Quy – 2k1 Bac Ninh had to unite their efforts to defeat Shenlong – Dua Chua with a compelling comeback.

Ultimately, AoE Vietnam secured two spots in the finals. In the final match, Cam Quy – 2k1 Bac Ninh continued to demonstrate exceptional teamwork, winning convincingly with a score of 6-1 against their rivals, thus claiming the championship title in the 2vs2 Shang format. This victory is a testament to the determination and resilience of Cam Quy – 2k1 Bac Ninh after a year-long struggle.
3vs3 Shang: The AoE Vietnam team rises to the challenge!
The AoE Vietnam community has never shied away from facing 3vs3 Shang matches in crucial tournaments, as this format is considered the strength of the home team. However, as mentioned, our community has a top-tier gaming environment, showcasing remarkable teamwork and strong spirit. This allowed the AoE Vietnam teams to effectively demonstrate their resilience in this format. By the semifinals, AoE Vietnam had 3 teams advancing, while AoE Trung Quoc only had one remaining team. In the semifinals, the three EGO players stood out against the home team, propelling them into an all-Vietnam final.

In the final match, the EGO team faced off against the three players from Thien Khoi Esports. Both teams created an intense and thrilling match. Ultimately, Thien Khoi Esports exhibited their superior tactical capabilities, winning with a score of 6-4, thus becoming the champions of the 3vs3 Shang format.
2vs2 Shang: A thrilling final, AoE Vietnam claims the “third time’s the charm”
The 2vs2 Shang format was the final match of the tournament, culminating in a highly emotional finale. Prior to this, the championship record between AoE Vietnam and Trung Quoc stood at 2-2, making the 2vs2 Shang final a decisive and significant encounter for the tournament.
In this format, the final match was primarily a battle between one Vietnamese team (Cam Quy – 2k1 Bac Ninh) and one Chinese team (Shenlong – Dua Chua). Both teams put forth an impressive display, showcasing their skills in the preceding matches. However, the emergence of Shenlong in the final match of the tournament made the hearts of AoE fans from both nations race with excitement, making it a highly anticipated showdown.

Without a doubt, Shenlong showcased his exceptional skills in the final match, demonstrating tactical mastery, quick decision-making, and flawless execution. However, Cam Quy and 2k1 Bac Ninh also presented an outstanding performance, matching up well against the champions from the previous formats. The exceptional performances from both teams created a thrilling encounter, reminiscent of the most intense matches.
As Cam Quy – 2k1 Bac Ninh trailed 4-5 against Shenlong – Dua Chua, they entered the so-called “final round,” with the two teams from Thien Khoi Esports achieving a draw at 5-5 before ultimately completing a remarkable comeback to win 6-5, resulting in an emotional celebration for all AoE fans present. This victory brings home the third championship trophy for AoE Vietnam, marking the third title for the esteemed duo Cam Quy – 2k1 Bac Ninh.

These achievements are a testament to the exceptional talent and hard work of the players throughout their competitive journey.
Moreover, the fact that they triumphed in all three team formats while also securing prestigious runner-up titles reflects AoE Vietnam’s commitment to maintaining a high standard of gameplay, creating a united community spirit, and competing fiercely with pride.
